Job summary

Cygnet Group at Oakhurst Lodge in Southampton is seeking a compassionate Support Worker (Days) on a 42-hour permanent contract, with 12-hour day shifts on a 7-day rota including two weekends per month. The role pays £13.45–£14.00 per hour and includes a range of staff benefits.

Experience with autism/learning disabilities is valuable, but attitude and person-centred support matter most. Fully paid training, pension, and career development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities or working within a care setting.
• Understanding of behaviours that may challenge, and a positive, proactive approach to support.
• Caring, compassionate, enthusiastic attitude with a genuine desire to help others.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
