Job summary

Castle Education in Scarborough is seeking a Day Support Worker to assist adults and children with disabilities in diverse settings. The role focuses on promoting independence, confidence, and meaningful activities.

Part-time and ad-hoc hours from 9:15am to 4:00pm with weekend availability, weekly pay, free parking, and opportunities for free CPD. No two days the same; your empathy and reliability can make a real difference.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient and reliable temperament.
• Previous experience with disabilities or complex needs is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to engage and support individuals to participate in activities.

The Role

As a Day Support Worker, you will provide support to individuals with disabilities and complex needs, helping them to:

• Develop and maintain their independence
• Build confidence and social skills
• Take part in activities and new experiences
• Communicate and engage with others
• Enjoy their day and get the most out of the opportunities available to them

No two days are the same! You could be supporting individuals with activities, community access, social opportunities or day-to-day tasks, depending on the setting and their individual needs.
