Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a compassionate Support Worker in Wiveliscombe to help people gain independence in daily life within a residential setting. The role focuses on person-centered care and enabling individuals to participate in community activities.

You will support with personal care, community access and engaging activities; a full UK driving license is required. You will receive comprehensive induction and ongoing training to grow in your role.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities or complex care needs is desirable.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice is preferred.
• Must be able to assist with personal care and daily living activities.

Support Worker - Wiveliscombe - £13.56 ph

Typical Shifts are: 08:00 - 20:30 working 3 shifts a week including alternate weekends

As a Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our residential service is a grade two listed building set in the beautiful rural location of Wiveliscombe. With its own orchard, log cabin art hub and pond, you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You'll be enhancing the lives of people we support who are living with learning disabilities and complex care needs. Your day will include assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local community, socialize and have fun with all manner of different activities.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

We're interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism and people who have experienced trauma.
