Job summary

Bethany Christian Trust in Edinburgh is seeking a Day Shift Project Worker for the Rapid Re-accommodation Welcome Centre. You will work twelve-hour day shifts and collaborate with partner agencies to create support plans for guests staying at the centre.

The role is fixed-term until 31 March 2027, with working hours of 39.375 per week. A right to work in the UK is required, and the post carries an Occupational Requirement due to the organisation's Christian ethos.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with the vulnerable.
• Understanding of mental health and addiction issues.
• Ability to deal appropriately with challenging behaviour.
• SVQ level 3 in Care/Promoting Independence or equivalent is desirable.
• Administrative skills and experience in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to respond to a changing environment.
• Ability to maintain clear and accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Work with partner agencies to build support plans for individuals staying at the Welcome Centre.
• Assist guests to move to more suitable long-term accommodation.
• Maintain clear and accurate records and documents.
