Job summary

South Wales near Tredegar is recruiting for a Production Supervisor in a well-established food manufacturer. The role leads a production area of about 15 staff, ensuring safe, efficient output to customer specs. The position offers a £38,000 salary plus benefits on a permanent day-shift basis.

Key duties include delivering production plans, maintaining records, and driving continuous improvement while working with Technical, Quality, Engineering and Planning teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, GMP and Health & Safety requirements.
• Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing KPIs and production performance.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and MRP/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a production team of approx. 15.
• Deliver production plans and achieve KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, GMP and Quality standards.
• Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across the department.
• Monitor productivity, waste, downtime and labour utilisation.
• Manage staffing levels, training plans and performance.
• Maintain production records, traceability and documentation accuracy.
• Utilise MRP/ERP systems to support production and stock control.
• Support audits by internal, external and customers.
• Drive continuous improvement across the production area.
• Collaborate with Technical, Quality, Engineering and Planning teams.
