Job summary

Conquip Engineering Group in Alton, Hampshire (GU34) is seeking a Production Assistant to join our busy day-shift team. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting assembly and material handling.

Hours: Monday to Friday 5:45am–2:15pm. Salary: £29k–£31k per annum. We look for a positive, reliable, punctual team player who is willing to learn and can work safely with forklifts and cranes when trained.

Qualifications

• Positive, reliable, and punctual individual.
• Ability to work as part of a busy production team.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take initiative.
• Physical fitness for hands-on tasks throughout the shift.
• Previous manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembly and production of skips.
• Unload laser-cut components and materials.
• Support press braking and handle larger components.
• Assist paint team with loading/unloading the paint line.
• Move and stack materials and finished products.
• Support general yard and factory activities.
• Operate forklifts and cranes when trained.
• Work with the production team to meet daily output targets.
