Job summary

Workchain is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for a permanent day-shift role in Shepton Mallet. You will complete multidrop deliveries, perform vehicle checks and maintain accurate records, while following safety procedures. Pay is £17 per hour with weekly pay on Wednesdays.

This position offers stable employment and the chance to work locally with a general fleet operation, requiring reliable, punctual drivers with good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 driving entitlement.
• Relevant driver documentation and legal entitlement to drive in the UK.
• Previous multidrop delivery experience.
• Experience completing more than 10 drops per shift or route.
• Good knowledge of safe loading, unloading and vehicle checks.
• Reliable, punctual and organised approach.
• Professional communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while following instructions.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Complete multidrop deliveries, with more than 10 drops per route.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Secure and handle goods appropriately.
• Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records.
• Follow transport, road safety and site procedures.
• Provide a professional service at delivery locations.
• Work effectively to planned schedules and route requirements.
