Workchain is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a temporary daytime role in Oakham, Leicestershire. You will drive safely, complete deliveries, and perform routine vehicle checks for smooth operations.

This position offers weekly pay every Wednesday and day shifts in a dynamic transport environment. Ideal candidates will possess a valid HGV Class 1 licence, a reliable and professional approach, and good communication skills to interact with customers and site teams.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence.
• Safe and responsible driving approach.
• Good understanding of vehicle safety checks and load security.
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
• Ability to follow delivery instructions and complete paperwork accurately.
• Good communication skills.
• Relevant HGV driving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive an HGV Class 1 vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Complete deliveries and collections as scheduled.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks before and after journeys.
• Ensure loads are secure and handled with care.
• Complete delivery paperwork and other records as required.
• Communicate professionally with customers, site contacts and transport colleagues.
• Follow relevant road safety, legal and company procedures.
