Job summary

Workchain is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to support transport operations in the Old Whittington area. This temporary, day-shift role offers £17 per hour, with payment made every Wednesday. You will drive safely, carry out pre- and post-journey checks, and ensure loads are secure while complying with drivers hours regulations.

• Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence.
• Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
• Previous commercial driving experience.
• Good knowledge of road safety and drivers hours regulations.

Responsibilities

• Driving HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Completing vehicle checks before and after journeys.
• Ensuring loads are secure and transported in line with legal requirements.
• Carrying out deliveries and collections professionally and on schedule.
• Completing relevant delivery paperwork and transport records.
• Reporting any vehicle, load or delivery issues promptly.
• Maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
