Job summary
Hilton Foods is seeking an Engineer (Day Shift) in Huntingdon to provide electrical and mechanical engineering support across the factory. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and work with production teams to improve reliability and OEE.
The role requires a recognised apprenticeship to ONC/HNC with strong electrical knowledge and experience in a food environment. You will also assist in installing and commissioning new equipment, complete detailed reports,
Qualifications
- Qualified apprenticeship to ONC/HNC or equivalent with proven electrical control experience (PLCs, relays).
- Strong electrical knowledge and experience with electrical control systems.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment is essential.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults and carry out remedial action to required standards.
- Propose improvements to equipment to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Attend PIT meetings on lines to drive OEE improvements with production teams.
- Dismantle and re-assemble production equipment when needed.
- Complete job report sheets for all work undertaken.
- Complete breakdown reports and ensure correct stores booking of parts.
