Job summary

Zest is seeking a Day Shift Engineer for a busy Lincolnshire food processing plant. This permanent, days-only role operates on a 4 on / 4 off pattern with an average 42 hours per week.

You will carry out PPMs, respond to breakdowns, fault-find and get equipment back up and running quickly, and collaborate with production to keep lines running at peak efficiency. Maintain accurate maintenance records and pursue root-cause improvements.

Qualifications

• Electrical and mechanical engineering background required.
• NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPMs on equipment across the site.
• Respond to breakdowns, fault-find and restore to operation quickly.
• Work with production to keep lines running at their best.
• Close out work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Identify root causes of repeat issues to improve reliability.

Our client runs a very successful food processing plant in Lincolnshire. They're looking for a Day Shift Engineer to join their engineering team on a permanent, days-only 4 on / 4 off pattern.

The Role

• Carry out PPMs on a variety of equipment across the site
• Respond to breakdowns, find the fault and get equipment back up and running quickly
• Work alongside production to keep lines running at their best
• Close out work orders and keep maintenance records accurate and up to date
• Get to the root cause of repeat issues and help improve reliability over time

What We're Looking For

• A multi-skilled engineering background, covering both electrical and mechanical
• A relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent apprenticeship)

• Recent food, FMCG or pharmaceutical experience
