Job summary
NICHOLAS CLARKE ASSOCIATES LIMITED in Telford, Shropshire, is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Days) to develop, implement and maintain automated systems, reducing downtime. The role offers a salary of £48,000 with 33 days holiday, pension and benefits.
Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with an electrically biased engineering background. The successful candidate will support production engineering across the facility, read PLC languages, and drive improvements in efficiency and safety
Qualifications
- Electrically biased engineer with PLC experience and manufacturing background.
- Level 3+ engineering qualification required.
- Experience reading PLC languages and electrical drawings.
- Able to work as part of a dedicated engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and repair equipment failures using electrical knowledge.
- Ensure plant modifications meet engineering standards and laws.
- Source parts to keep the factory running smoothly.
- Perform electrical overhauls and upgrades on equipment.
- Modernize PLC platforms and control systems.
- Integrate technology into new and existing systems.
- Create electrical drawings/schematics.
- Support and train the engineering team in electrical disciplines.
- Provide technical support across the engineering function.
