Nicholas Clarke Associates Ltd in Shropshire is seeking an Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer for days, to support a busy manufacturing site. The role offers a 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday schedule with £48,000 + 33 days holiday, pension and benefits.

The successful candidate will develop, implement and maintain automated systems, focusing on reducing downtime and improving efficiency across the plant. PLC experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Electrically biased engineer with PLC experience.
• Level 3+ qualification in an engineering discipline.
• Experience reading and interpreting PLC languages.
• Manufacturing sector experience.
• Strong teamwork in an engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and repair equipment faults using electrical knowledge.
• Ensure plant modifications meet engineering standards and regulations.
• Source parts to keep the factory operational.
• Perform electrical overhauls and upgrades.
• Modernize PLC platforms and control systems.
• Integrate technology into new and existing systems.
• Create electrical drawings/schematics.
• Assist in training and developing the engineering team.
