Job summary

Tiphereth is seeking a compassionate support worker to assist adults with learning disabilities in our Edinburgh-based day service. You will work one-to-one or in small groups, facilitating meaningful activities, crafts, and community participation.

You will embrace person-centred values, support independence, and collaborate with families and carers. Experience with autism and understanding of communication needs are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities.
• Understanding of person-centred approaches in daily support.
• Ability to engage individuals with different forms of communication and needs.
• Willingness to engage in post-registration development as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one or small group support to adults with learning disabilities.
• Plan and lead meaningful activities and crafts to encourage participation.
• Support personal care and assist with mobility and safety.
• Liaise with families, carers and other professionals as required.
