Job summary

Moor Hall Hotel & Spa is seeking a Day Porter in Sutton Coldfield. You will help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly and provide warm, welcoming customer service to guests.

The role requires reliability, hands-on attitude and flexibility to cover 30 hours per week over 4 days, including evenings and weekends. Training and uniform provided, plus hotel perks.

Qualifications

• Physical tasks incl. lifting and carrying, walking and standing for long periods.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Respond promptly to guest enquiries with a friendly, professional attitude.
• Provide support to other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist with setting up tables, chairs and equipment for events.
• Support events team to ensure guests have what they need during functions.

The Role

If so, you might be the perfect fit for our Day Porter role at Moor Hall Hotel & Spa, a charming, family-run hotel in the heart of Sutton Coldfield. As a Day Porter, you'll play a vital part in ensuring our day-to-day operations and guest experiences run smoothly. This is a varied and active role that requires someone reliable, hands-on, and with a positive, can-do attitude.

The role requires flexibility to work 30 hours per week over 4 days on a rota basis which can include evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying, walking, and standing for extended periods.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Respond promptly to guest enquiries and ensure their needs are met with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Provide support to other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist with setting up tables, chairs, and equipment for hotel events, conferences, or meetings.
• Be on hand to provide support to the events team, ensuring guests have everything they need during functions.
