Job summary

Hampshire County Council in Emsworth is seeking a Care Assistant to join our Older Adults Homes. You will support daily living, personal care, and safety, both day and night, delivering person-centred care and promoting independence for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience working in social care isn’t essential to join us as a Care Assistant.
• You might be a school or college leaver taking your first step in a career in social care.
• What’s more important is the right values, skills and motivations to provide high quality care.
• Weekend and bank holiday work may be required with enhancements as per HCC policy.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living: assist with personal care, comfort, wellbeing and safety of residents.
• Support at night: assist with personal care and ensure safety during night shifts.
• Provide person-centred care: tailor care plans to meet individual needs.
• Promote independence: encourage self-care and choice for residents.
• Build relationships: connect with residents, families and colleagues.
