Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking Day and Night Care Assistants to support older adults in our homes, delivering warm, compassionate care and a welcoming environment. You’ll help with daily living, including personal care, and assist during night shifts to ensure resident safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care isn’t essential to join us as a Care Assistant; you might be a school or college leaver taking your first step into social care.
• What’s more important to us is that you have the right values, skills and motivations to provide high quality care.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living: help with daily activities ensuring comfort, wellbeing and safety of residents.
• Support at night: assist with personal care and safety during night shifts.
• Provide person-centred care: tailor care planning to meet each resident’s needs; promote independence.
• Build relationships: establish supportive connections with residents, families and colleagues.
