Wycliffe College Prep School invites applications for a Matron to provide day-to-day care and pastoral support to pupils during the school day. The role focuses on safety, wellbeing, and a nurturing environment, working closely with staff and parents.
The successful candidate will hold a first aid qualification, driving licence, and childcare-related credentials; safeguarding knowledge is desirable. Hours are Monday to Friday 12:15–6:15 and alternate Saturdays term-time.
Wycliffe College are seeking a warm, caring and highly organised Matron to provide day-to-day care and pastoral support to pupils throughout the school day at their Prep School. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring pupils feel safe, supported and well cared for, responding sensitively to their individual health and wellbeing needs and working closely with colleagues and parents to create a nurturing school environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children, a current first aid qualification and driving licence. They will be empathetic, calm under pressure, well organised and able to use your initiative, with excellent communication skills and a professional, discreet approach. A childcare qualification, understanding of safeguarding and knowledge of the needs of children up to 13 would be desirable.

This is a permanent position, offered on a part-time, part-year basis during our published term dates. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 12:15pm to 6.15pm and alternate Saturdays during term-time from 8am-1.30pm.
Salary: £17,113 per annum
