Job summary

Ocado Logistics in the United Kingdom is seeking a Day Despatch operative to ensure orders load accurately and are delivered on time. The role covers 06:00–16:00 shifts, with a 4-on/3-off pattern and weekend work. Training is provided and safety procedures are mandatory.

You will handle totes, operate a pallet truck, load/unload vehicles and keep a neat, safe workspace while following health and safety briefs to support the team and customers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Able to handle meat and alcohol products.
• Live within reasonable commute to the site.
• New to warehousing? No problem, training provided.
• Skills can be taught, positive attitude encouraged.
• Able to understand health and safety briefings and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Load totes into frames for dispatch.
• Sort and organise returned totes.
• Operate a powered pallet truck safely.
• Load and unload vans and trailers.
• Carry out basic equipment checks.
• Follow health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.

Job description

Join our dedicated Day Despatch team and play a key role in ensuring customer orders are loaded accurately and delivered on time.

What we're looking for

• You must be 18 or over.
• You must be able to handle Meat and Alcohol
• You must be within reasonable commute time from the site using your method of transport.
• New to warehousing? No problem.
• Skills can be taught.
• Bring your positive attitude and we'll support you every step of the way.
• For your safety and the safety of others, you must be able to understand and follow Health & Safety briefings and operational instructions
• Day Despatch Shift-times - 06:00 to 16:00
• You will work 4 days in every 7-day period.
• Shifts are spread across the full week, including weekends
• We run Despatch Interviews & Trials every Tuesday, giving you the opportunity to experience the role and meet the team.
• Interview & Trial Times: 07:00 AM 10:00 AM 1:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:
