Job summary

Presbyterian Church in Ireland is seeking a Care Assistant for Harold McCauley House in Omagh. The role focuses on compassionate daily care for older residents, with training provided and NVQ/QCF pathways available.

You will work across day duties, supporting residents in personal care, mobility and activities, while maintaining dignity and choice. A Christian ethos and team environment guide every shift.

Qualifications

• Willing to undertake induction training or NVQ/QCF Level 2.
• Proficient in understanding, speaking and writing English.
• Respect for the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.
• No experience required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care ensuring dignity and respect.
• Dress, personal hygiene, mobility and daily activities assistance.
• Encourage independence with support as needed.
• Administer medication after appropriate training.
• Support social and recreational activities for residents.
• Record keeping—written and computerised.
