TipTopJob is recruiting a Day Care Assistant for a Littlehampton residential home on a permanent, full-time basis. You will deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents during night hours, supporting routines, safety, and comfort while maintaining dignity and respect.

Your role includes gentle evening and morning care, observation for changes in condition, and clear handover to daytime staff. Training and ongoing development are provided.

Salary: From A GBP 13.67 : A GBP 16.12 per hour

Hours: 36 Hours per week

Salary Details

• New to Care: A GBP 13.67 per hour on weekdays, A GBP 14.67 on weekends, and A GBP 15.67 for overtime (non:medication trained).
• Care Assistant with less than 18 months experience: A GBP 13.79 per hour on weekdays, A GBP 14.79 on weekends, and A GBP 15.79 for overtime (Medication trained).
• Care Assistant with more than 18 months experience: A GBP 13.90 per hour on weekdays, A GBP 14.90 on weekends, and A GBP 15.90 for overtime (Medication trained).
• Care Assistant with NVQ Level Two: A GBP 14.02 per hour on weekdays, A GBP 15.02 on weekends, and A GBP 16.02 for overtime.
• Care Assistant studying or with an NVQ Level Three: A GBP 14.12 per hour on weekdays, A GBP 15.12 on weekends, and A GBP 16.12 for overtime.

The Role

We are a well:regarded residential home based in Littlehampton, currently seeking a reliable and compassionate Day Care Assistant to join our dedicated team.

As a Day Care Assistant, you will deliver high:quality, person:centred care to the residents, ensuring their individual needs are met with dignity, empathy, and respect. You will play a vital role in promoting a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment throughout the night. The care team is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of those they support.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with night:time routines, including preparing for bed and morning wake:up support.
• Provide personal care as required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
• Carry out regular checks on residents throughout the night, responding to any needs promptly.
• Administer appropriate support with continence care, following care plans and protocols.
• Monitor and record any changes in residents conditions and report to senior staff.
• Respond promptly and efficiently to call bells and resident needs.
• Assist in repositioning residents as needed to prevent discomfort and pressure sores.
• Maintain a calm and reassuring presence, providing emotional support when required.
• Ensure the home remains clean, tidy, and hazard:free throughout the night.
• Comply with all safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Be aware of and adhere to the Emergency Plan and Fire Procedures.
• Complete all required documentation and handover reports for the day staff.
• Follow care plan updates, system communications, and instructions from senior staff.
• Undertake all mandatory training and any additional training as required for professional development.
• Always uphold residents confidentiality and the organisations policies.
