Utilities

Location: Wokingham, United Kingdom

Duration: 6 months

Travel: Regular travel to 4 different Data Centers in Corsham, Farnborough, Warwick, and Reading

Role: We require a strong Data Center Engineer comfortable working independently, assessing supplier work across 4 Data Centers. The engineer will work closely with the supplier, highlight issues, plan remediation activities, and provide hands-on support.

Qualifications: CDCTP and CDCMP certifications are required.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the manager in locating and auditing existing in-house and third-party processes.
  • Review existing software and CMDB capabilities; develop correction actions to maintain systems.
  • Capture access control methods and physical security needs.
  • Create plans to migrate processes, procedures, and supplier mechanisms from third-party to client.
  • Manage dependencies and risks.
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Manage and update CMDB and Network Discovery capabilities.
  • Handle Change Management, ServiceNow, and E-Permits, including approval and creation.
  • Capacity and Access Management.
  • Provide safety briefings.
  • Ensure everyone working in the Data Centers is inducted or escorted by an approved, inducted person.
