Utilities

Location: Wokingham, with regular travel to 4 different DCs in Corsham, Farnborough, Warwick, and Reading

Duration: 6 months

Summary: We require a strong DC Engineer comfortable working independently, assessing supplier work across 4 DCs. You will collaborate closely with the supplier, identify issues, plan remediation activities, and provide hands-on support.

Required certifications include CDCTP and CDCMP.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the manager in locating and auditing existing in-house and third-party processes
• Review existing software and CMDB capabilities, and develop corrective actions to maintain systems
• Document access control methods and physical security needs
• Create plans to migrate processes, procedures, and supplier mechanisms from third-party to client
• Manage dependencies and risks
• Stakeholder management
• Manage and update CMDB, including Network Discovery capabilities
• Handle Change Management processes
• Use ServiceNow for E-Permits, approvals, and creation
• Capacity and Access Management
• Provide safety briefings
• Ensure everyone working in the DCs is inducted or escorted by an approved, inducted person

Certifications: Accredited to one or both of the following certifications:

• Self-starter, results-driven, highly motivated
• Excellent planning and stakeholder management skills
• Problem solver, comfortable navigating grey areas to find solutions
• Strong interpersonal skills, including listening, leadership, and flexibility to meet milestones
