A leading company in the Data Centre sector is seeking an experienced professional to manage IT hardware and network systems. The role demands effective management of installations, maintenance, and operational excellence within a critical, high-profile environment, requiring specific skills in infrastructure technology and a proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities:
Work on a 24x7x365 rotating shift pattern (4 days on / 4 days off, 4 nights on / 4 nights off); perform change control and incident management; maintain accurate tracking of all Data Centre assets and inventory; supervise and escort third-party vendors as required; plan and carry out installation, relocation, and decommissioning of IT hardware and network equipment in line with Data Centre standards; manage structured cabling and physical infrastructure across the Data Centre; ensure all work is completed in line with agreed SLAs; update documentation and systems regularly to maintain accurate records; comply with health and safety policies, quality standards, and site-specific security procedures.
Daily Operations and Projects:
Maintain and utilise Data Centre toolsets to support efficient operations; oversee Data Centre governance and ensure high standards are upheld; collaborate with facilities providers to optimise energy efficiency; support the daily running of the Data Centre, including installations, changes, and maintenance; participate in service improvement initiatives and major infrastructure projects, including power system upgrades and replacements; conduct basic server configuration (IDRAC, iLO); perform hands-on tasks such as racking, stacking, patching, and cable management; identify and troubleshoot faults, escalating when necessary; manage complex inter-rack and inter-room cabling to support reliable IT and end-user connectivity.
Skills & Experience Required:
Prior experience working in high-risk environments and data centres; knowledge of DCIM tools and standards (desirable); familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy (desirable); strong attention to detail and a proactive approach; solid understanding of infrastructure technologies and networking concepts; proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT service management tools; a dependable team player with the ability to work independently and under pressure; flexible with regard to shift work; excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels; strong organisational and administrative abilities.
