Data Centre Operations Engineer – Data Centres | London | Up to £100,000

An industry-leading data centre provider is seeking a Data Centre Operations Engineer to oversee and drive operational change processes across a portfolio of large-scale data centre sites in Europe and APAC.

In this high-impact role, you'll define and implement change governance, ensuring all maintenance, upgrades, and deployments are safe, compliant, and risk-mitigated — all while helping shape a best-in-class uptime strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead operational change control across a global data centre estate.
• Approve and manage engineering works, upgrades, and modifications.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement activities.
• Collaborate with site teams and engineering leadership across regions.
• Develop SOPs, training materials, and risk mitigation frameworks.

About You:

• Engineering degree (electrical, mechanical, or controls)
• Experience managing critical systems (power/HVAC/BMS)
• Strong understanding of operational strategy in high-availability environments
• Able to lead without direct line management – strong influencer
• Passionate about improvement, compliance, and risk prevention
