Job summary

Tenth Revolution Group is seeking an experienced Databricks Engineer/Architect for a hands-on role within a major data transformation programme. You will design scalable cloud data architectures, build and optimise data pipelines, and drive Lakehouse implementations in collaboration with stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

• Commercial Databricks experience in engineering and architecture.
• End-to-end data platform design and build.
• Experience building data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and data integration.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with cloud data architectures and Lakehouse.
• Consultancy or client-facing experience desirable.

We're supporting a global consultancy on the search for an experienced Databricks Engineer / Architect to join a major data transformation programme.

This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can operate across the full data lifecycle, from designing scalable architectures through to building and optimising data pipelines. The successful contractor will be a true Databricks specialist, capable of combining technical leadership with hands-on engineering delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, cloud-based data architectures using Databricks.
• Build and optimise end-to-end data pipelines supporting analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
• Lead the development of modern Lakehouse and data platform solutions.
• Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to define data strategy and architecture.

Required Experience

• Strong commercial experience with Databricks in both engineering and architecture capacities.
• Proven track record designing and building end-to-end data platforms.
• Expertise in data pipeline development, ETL/ELT processes and data integration.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with modern cloud data architectures and Lakehouse methodologies.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders, gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Consultancy or client-facing experience is highly desirable.
