Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer specializing in Data 360 to deploy enterprise-grade data solutions inside customer environments. You will configure, test, and deploy ingestion, harmonization, identity, and activation workflows, and work closely with architects and customer teams.

You will implement secure data access patterns, build retrieval systems for AI applications, and ensure scalable, auditable data processes, while collaborating across product and support to close gaps

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or technical implementation.
• Hands-on experience implementing enterprise data platforms across ingestion, modeling, and operations.
• Proficiency in SQL and building multi-table queries; fluent in at least one enterprise language.

Responsibilities

• Build in customer environments using Data 360 and related tools.
• Engineer the data layer for ingestion, harmonization, and identity resolution.
• Prove reliability with representative tests and edge cases.
• Ground AI data integration with RAG, vector databases, and knowledge bases.
• Design protocols for agent-to-agent communication and MCP.
• Connect Salesforce Agentforce with enterprise apps securely.
• Govern data integration, transformation, and governance across CRM and data cloud.
• Build scalable, secure data workflows with OAuth and SAML.
• Troubleshoot ingestion, mapping, and activation issues with logs.
• Document tradeoffs and recommend maintainable implementations.
• Accelerate with AI using Data 360 APIs and MCP servers.
• Co-build with customers and partners, handing off with clear ownership.
• Highlight platform gaps with live evidence to product teams.
