Barts Health NHS Trust is recruiting a Data Warehouse Engineer to help develop, implement, and support the PharosAI project through the Barts Health Data Platform.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• Extensive experience working in informatics within the NHS, academia, or the private sector.
• Strong applied statistics skills, scripting, and programming skills.
• Data science expertise, working with NHS and academic professionals.

PharosAI (https://www.pharosai.co.uk/) is a DSIT-funded project that unites large-scale multimodal cancer datasets with AI models via a secure, federated platform, providing advanced AI tools for pharma, biotech, and life sciences. The Barts Health Data Platform (https://data.bartshealth.nhs.uk/) will be federated within PharosAI. Supported by Barts Charity, this initiative aims to unlock NHS patient data research potential responsibly, legally, and ethically, with patient engagement from the outset.

The platform will comply with security and governance standards, enabling researchers to access data to improve health outcomes. The Data Engineer will collaborate with the Data Warehouse Manager to design and develop core data products, requiring a solid understanding of Electronic Health Records data, data transformations, cleaning, augmentation, and ontologies like OMOP and SNOMED.

By providing integrated data access, BHDP aims to lead in data-driven innovation, enhancing its role in the life sciences economy and patient care. An experienced governance team will ensure compliance with GDPR and ethical standards, safeguarding patient confidentiality and equity.
