Job summary

Cybit is seeking a Data Visualisation Engineer to join its Data and AI team in a hybrid role based from the Newcastle office. The role focuses on Power BI and Qlik Cloud to design and deliver dashboards and analytics for diverse clients.

You will build data models, create visualisations, and work with stakeholders to ensure accurate, trusted reporting. Training on Power BI, Qlik Cloud, and related tech will be provided, with opportunities to progress into senior engineering and leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Strong dashboards and reports using Power BI, Qlik Sense or Qlik Cloud.
• Experience delivering reports for business users, not just academic projects.
• Understanding of data modelling principles and its impact on accuracy and performance.
• Experience integrating data from multiple sources.
• Strong SQL skills including querying, joining and validating data.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and Qlik Cloud.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand reporting needs and outcomes.
• Translate requirements into clear visuals and analytics.
• Build data models to enable accurate, efficient reporting.
• Create calculations and business logic using DAX and Qlik scripting.
• Connect reports to databases, cloud platforms and other systems.
• Prepare, clean and transform data for reporting and analysis.
• Test dashboards and data models before release.
• Document technical guidance and user instructions.
