Bupa is seeking a Data Technical Lead for permanent work in the UK, with hybrid options (up to 3 days WFH) across Manchester, Leeds or Staines. The role is 37.5 hours per week and includes a base salary from £74.4k plus a 10% bonus and excellent benefits.
You will lead the Care Services data product portfolio, shaping the technical strategy and ensuring scalable, secure analytics solutions using Azure, Snowflake and Power BI.

- Strong understanding of modern data architectures, cloud platforms and analytics ecosystems.
- Experience operating within Agile and product-led delivery environments.

- Partner with Senior PMs to balance customer needs and platform evolution.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple squads.

- Work with PMs, Delivery Leads, Engineers and Analysts to deliver products.
- Manage technical dependencies across products and squads.

In this role you will be a senior technical leader within the Care Services Digital & Data team, responsible for defining, governing and evolving the technical direction of the Care Services data product portfolio.
Working in partnership with Senior Product Managers, Product Managers and multi-disciplinary product squads, you will ensure that data and AI products are designed, delivered and evolved in a way that is scalable, secure, governed, reusable and aligned to customer, operational and business outcomes. You will also be a technical counterpart to the Senior Product Manager, ensuring product vision and strategy are translated into robust, sustainable and high-quality technical solutions.
- Own the technical vision and technical roadmap across the Care Services data product portfolio
- Partner with Senior Product Managers to ensure roadmaps balance customer needs, business outcomes, technical sustainability and platform evolution
- Provide technical leadership across multiple squads, ensuring consistency of approach and alignment with strategic objectives
- Act as the technical authority for complex data product design decisions
- Establish and maintain standards, frameworks and best practices across the Care Services data product estate
- Drive adoption of modern engineering and analytics practices across Azure, Snowflake, Power BI and associated technologies
- Work closely with Product Managers, Delivery Leads, Engineers and Analysts to support successful product delivery
- Manage technical dependencies across multiple products and squads
- Identify opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI and advanced analytics to improve customer outcomes, operational efficiency and business performance
- Significant experience delivering complex data and analytics solutions within large-scale organisations
- Experience providing technical leadership across multiple teams, products or domains.
- Strong understanding of modern data architectures, cloud platforms and analytics ecosystems
- Experience working with Azure, Snowflake, Power BI, GCP and associated modern data technologies
- Deep understanding of data modelling, semantic modelling, metrics design and analytical product development
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills
- Experience operating within Agile and product-led delivery environments
- Experience evaluating and implementing AI, machine learning, advanced analytics or automation capabilities within digital and data products
- Ability to identify opportunities where AI and emerging technologies can drive measurable improvements in customer, colleague and business outcomes
- Knowledge of data governance, lineage, master data management and data quality frameworks
- Experience supporting AI, machine learning or advanced analytics solutions in production environments
