Job Title: Data Systems & Insights Manager

Location: Hybrid – Remote with 1 day a week in the London office

Sector: Sustainability

Start Date: Immediately

Type: Full-time

We’re working with a purpose-driven organisation in the sustainability space that’s looking to bring in someone to lead on data infrastructure and insight. This is a really key hire — they’re looking for someone who’s confident building and maintaining a relational database, while also being comfortable working across teams and helping people get the most out of the data.

It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both the technical side and the collaborative side of data — building tools, making things work behind the scenes, but also helping people make better decisions through the systems you’ve put in place.

What you'll be doing:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining a centralised relational database
• Building intuitive tools for data entry, storage, and access
• Working closely with different teams to understand their needs and build solutions that work for them
• Ensuring data quality and consistency across systems
• Creating and automating reports, dashboards, and visualisations to help the business understand what’s going on
• Supporting ad hoc analysis to help with strategy and operations
• Training team members on how to use the tools and systems
• Evaluating third-party tools and managing any vendor relationships

What they’re looking for:

• Someone who’s comfortable owning the database side of things — ideally with experience using something like SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL etc.
• Experience creating reporting and visualisation tools — whether that’s Power BI, Tableau, Looker or similar
• A good communicator — someone who enjoys working with non-technical people and can help translate data into action
• Any experience in sustainability, carbon, climate or similar would be a real bonus — but it’s not essential
• Happy working remotely but able to come into the London office once a week
