Job summary

Moto is seeking a Data Support Manager to lead the day-to-day support of our growing data platforms and reporting estate. The role combines people leadership, service management and technical understanding to build a proactive, scalable support function.

You’ll oversee a team of Data Support Engineers, manage key partners, and ensure services meet business needs with continuous improvement as a core aim.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in IT/data support or managed service functions.
• Experience leading high-performing teams and developing staff.
• Experience managing third-party suppliers and SLAs.
• Knowledge of ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven track record of improving service performance metrics.
• Comfort leading meetings and building relationships across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Data Support Engineers.
• Manage workloads, priorities, performance and development conversations.
• Serve as primary contact for third-party data support provider.
• Monitor service performance and enforce SLAs with suppliers.
• Handle escalations, incidents and support requests across data and reporting landscape.
• Drive data quality improvements and address recurring issues at source.
• Collaborate with Data Platform and Analytics teams to prioritise changes.
• Implement automation, monitoring and alerting to reduce manual work.
• Ensure users have training, docs and support to self-serve where possible.
• Produce regular service performance reporting and insights for leadership teams.
• Support governance, compliance and information security across data services.
