Job summary

Tesco Insurance and Money Services in Edinburgh is seeking a Data Solutions Architect to shape data services on our Microsoft Fabric platform. You will collaborate with engineers, analysts, product teams and senior stakeholders to translate business and regulatory needs into clear, scalable data architectures.

The role focuses on high quality conceptual, logical and physical data models underpinning analytics, reporting, AI and operations, with a strong emphasis on governance and long-term

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Architect across modern analytics and data platforms.
• Deep expertise in data modelling: conceptual, logical and dimensional models.
• Ability to design semantic layers for self‑service analytics and AI-ready data.

Responsibilities

• Define and own data architecture patterns and target state designs for the Fabric platform.
• Develop real-time ingestion, AI-driven insights and API‑led integration capabilities.
• Lead enterprise and domain data model design from conceptual to physical implementations.
• Partner with data engineers and platform teams to ensure performant data models.
• Shape and assure the semantic layer enabling trusted analytics and reduced duplication.
• Translate business concepts and KPIs into clear, governed data structures.
• Embed data quality, lineage, metadata and lifecycle management in designs.
• Provide architectural assurance across change initiatives for long‑term integrity.
• Mentor engineers and analysts in data modelling best practices.
