What will your day look like?

You will be part of our Data Solution Consulting capability that help our clients get the data solutions they need for collecting, analysing and activating 1st party data at scale to create impactful customer experiences and drive measurable business results.

We help propose, design and deliver data solutions that support customer insights, audience activation, personalization, and measurement of marketing performance.

Our work helps our clients connect business with data and technology and includes:

  • Presales advisory: Having initial conversations to understand client challenges and opportunities, define use cases, and gather business requirements to recommend potential solutions and course of actions based on previous experience and best practice.
  • Solution consulting: Working collaboratively with clients to interview key stakeholders, analyze and understand their as-is situation, to-be ambition, and capability gaps to recommend a roadmap of solutions that fit their needs and meet their business requirements.
  • Solution design: To create a tangible and coherent vision of the future solutions and help build prototypes and proofs of concepts that test out key assumptions and provide a blueprint for production grade solution build and deployment.

Areas of expertise

Our Data Solution Consultants are considered experts across marketing measurement strategy, customer data strategy and advanced data solutions. As there is a lot to cover, our consultants typically specialize within one of these areas.

We are currently looking for candidates with expertise within Marketing Measurement Strategy: How to measure and report the performance of marketing activities across paid, earned and owned channels to enable efficient and effective marketing planning, activation, and optimization.

Who are you going to work with?

As a Data Solution Consultant, you will be working closely in projects with a lot of different people with different professions, both inside and outside of VML MAP.

You will be part of a group of experienced Data Solution Consultants and will often be working closely with colleagues from the other groups in our consulting practice, including Business Strategy, Marketing Technology, Experience and Business Architecture Consultants. We strive to have an open collaboration model to optimally utilize our total skillsets.

You will also work closely with our Client Engagement leads and our Tech and Data specialists to deliver client projects, and you will work directly with our clients, i.e., key stakeholders in the data, marketing and IT organizations of large global companies. You will also have the opportunity to engage with our data and technology partners, such as Salesforce, Adobe, Braze, Google, and Snowflake.

Together, we help our clients put in place data solutions that drive business value in a collaborative work environment with a focus on both professional expertise and having fun on the way.

What do you bring to the table?

You might have a data and technology background and grew into a consulting role, or maybe you come from a marketing background and built a strong understanding of measurement and data solutions. Nevertheless, it is important that you have strong core consulting skills as well measurement and data experience and expertise. You will have been working in marketing or advertising most your career.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, i.e., the ability to clearly communicate complex topics to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Structured problem-solving skills, i.e., the ability to identify and analyse complex problems and develop practical solutions.
  • Business acumen, i.e., an understanding of how businesses work and how they create value.
  • The ability to build trust and strong working relationships with clients, partners and colleagues.

Measurement and Data experience and expertise

  • You have a university degree or equivalent that preferably included applying statistics, and handling of large data-sets.
  • You are considered an expert in marketing data solutions with deep expertise in marketing measurement.
    • E.g. Hands-on experience in pulling reporting data off CRM, paid media, or web analytics systems for campaign evaluation and insights.
  • Solid conceptual understanding of advanced marketing measurement and attribution methodologies including MMM, MTA, and control groups. And their use cases.
  • You have experience with analysing business needs, designing, scoping, and delivering data solution projects and services in large organizations.
  • Experience with collaborating with and communicating to technical and business audiences alike.
