Job summary

Welltower is seeking a Data Scientist to join our UK investment and asset management teams, applying machine learning and predictive analytics to drive smarter capital decisions. You will integrate diverse data sources, validate model outputs, and present insights that influence deals and asset management across the UK.

You will report to the US/Canada Lead Data Scientist with a dotted line to the Head of Investment in the UK, contributing to advanced analytics in a global real estate healthcare

Qualifications

• Knowledge of data and analytics landscape with at least 2 years of work experience.
• Strong technical skills in Predictive Modeling, Reporting, and Analytics.
• Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms (e.g., tree-based models, neural networks).
• Experience with data science toolkits (R, Matlab, Python).
• Experience with data mining and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx).
• Applied statistics skills: distributions, correlation, regression, etc.
• Excellent communication with business and technology partners.
• Familiarity with Real Estate, Finance and/or Healthcare systems and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Assist Business Insights with data and analytics strategy for UK asset management and investment teams.
• Guide UK investment team to locations/markets based on data science outputs.
• Select features and build/optimize classifiers using ML techniques.
• Integrate third-party data into data science models and extend datasets.
• Analyze outputs to support UK investment decisions with data-backed insights.
• Improve data collection processes for analytic systems.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and present results to the UK team.
