Job summary

Welltower seeks a Data Scientist to join the UK asset management and investment teams, leveraging ML and predictive analytics to guide capital allocation and market decisions. You will work with US/Canada teams and the UK Head of Investment, applying advanced statistics to optimize performance across locations.

In this role, you’ll extend data sources, build high-quality prediction systems, and challenge investment theses with data-driven insights, supporting strategic decisions in healthcare

Qualifications

• 2+ years of work experience in data/analytics
• Strong skills in Predictive Modeling and analytics
• Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms
• Experience with data mining and visualization tools
• Proficiency with data science toolkits (R, Matlab, Python)
• Excellent communication with business and tech partners
• Knowledge of Real Estate, Finance or Healthcare systems is a plus
• Understanding of profitability and forecasting in business contexts

Responsibilities

• Assist Insights team with data and analytics strategy for UK asset management and investment teams
• Guide investment teams to location/market decisions based on data science platform
• Select features and build classifiers using machine learning techniques
• Integrate third-party data into Welltower data models
• Analyze model outputs to inform UK investment process
• Enhance data collection for analytics systems
• Process, cleanse and verify data integrity for analysis
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and present results to the UK team
