Job summary

NTT DATA UK&I is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Data Practice. You will work on ML, predictive analytics and AI-enabled use cases, collaborating with data engineers and platform specialists across Snowflake, Databricks and Microsoft Fabric to deliver production-ready ML solutions.

You will contribute across the model lifecycle from data understanding and feature engineering to training, evaluation, deployment support and ongoing improvement, with emphasis on applied ML and responsible AI

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of commercial experience in Data Science or Advanced Analytics.
• Strong hands-on Python experience for data analysis, feature engineering and model development.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with complex datasets.
• Solid understanding of supervised/unsupervised learning, modelling, validation and optimization.
• Experience with Python ML libraries (e.g., Scikit-Learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience developing reusable, documented, testable assets for pilot or production environments.
• Ability to explain model assumptions, limitations and business impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop ML models for forecasting, classification, recommendation, optimisation and anomaly detection.
• Apply statistics and ML techniques to structured and semi-structured data.
• Perform feature engineering, model training, validation and evaluation.
• Build notebooks, scripts and pipelines for repeatable ML delivery.
• Support monitoring and improvement of models in pilot or production environments.
• Collaborate with consultants and client stakeholders to translate problems into analytical tasks.
