Job summary

Sky is accelerating the use of Generative AI across its products and platforms. This role sits in the GenAI delivery team, collaborating with engineers, product and domain experts to shape AI-powered experiences.

You will design, test and deploy RAG apps, conversational agents and intelligent workflows, while continuously learning and improving AI solutions across Sky's business. The role offers hybrid working with 2 days in the office weekly, a strong benefits package and the opportunity to

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field or equivalent industry experience.
• Hands-on developing solutions with Large Language Models.
• Hands-on experience building applied ML models using Python and libraries (scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch).

Responsibilities

• Develop Generative AI and agentic solutions, including RAG apps and intelligent workflows.
• Design and run experiments to test AI/ML approaches and LLm evaluation frameworks.
• Analyse datasets, traces and performance to improve AI solutions.
• Collaborate across engineering, product and commercial teams from ideation to deployment.
• Drive experimentation and continuous learning to strengthen data science capabilities.

You’ll work alongside engineers, product, and domain experts to shape the way Sky usesDataScience andLargeLanguageModels to unlock real value across the business.

Whatyou’lldo

• Develop Generative AI and agentic solutions, including RAG applications, conversational assistants, intelligent workflows and tool-using agents.

Whatyou’llbring

Essentialcriteria:

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) with specialization in Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering or another quantitative field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Hands‑on experiencedevelopingsolutions with Large Language Models.
• Hands‑on experience building applied ML models using Python and relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., scikit‑learn,XGBoost, PyTorch).

Desirableskills andexperience:

• Experience designing evaluationframeworksfor generative systems(e.g.,LLM-as-a-judge, task‑specific metrics).
• Experience with vector databases,data queryinglanguages and retrieval methods.
• Experience with AI monitoring, observability, guardrails, testing and responsible AI practices.
• A commercial mindset, you understand how data science drives value, not just insight.
