Job summary

Spotify is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Business Analytics team in London. You will use data analysis, experimentation, and modeling to shape the audiobooks strategy and enhance experiences for listeners, creators, publishers, and authors.

You will collaborate with analysts, data scientists, product teams, and engineers to forecast opportunities, run A/B tests, and translate complex questions into practical recommendations for senior leaders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in data science or analytics in consumer tech, media, subscriptions, marketplaces, or similar.
• Fluent in SQL and proficient in Python, R, or another programming language with strong statistics and experimental design knowledge.
• Able to translate complex analyses into clear business implications and actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop data-driven strategies for audiobook catalog, content discovery, listener engagement, and subscriber growth.
• Evaluate opportunities through forecasting, scenario modeling, and impact measurement.
• Collaborate with Editorial, Personalization, Product, Finance, and Business teams to improve title selection and recommendations.
• Design and analyze experiments, including A/B tests, to measure impact of product and go-to-market initiatives.
• Monitor audiobook business health and translate insights into recommendations.
• Create reliable analytical datasets, tools, and reporting for repeatable insights.
• Work with analytics engineering and data partners to improve data quality and scalability.
• Present findings to senior leaders to influence product and business directions.
