Job summary

Spotify is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Business Analytics team within the Business Strategy and Insights organization in London. You will work with the Audiobooks Analytics Lead to shape global strategy and improve the listener, creator, publisher, and author experience.

You will analyze data, conduct experiments, and build models to evaluate opportunities across content discovery, subscriber growth, and new initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in data science or analytics.
• Fluent in SQL and proficient in Python, R, or another programming language.
• Strong grasp of statistical methods, experimentation, and causal inference.
• Excellent communication and ability to extract actionable insights.
• Degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop data-driven strategies across audiobook catalog, discovery, and engagement.
• Evaluate opportunities via forecasting, scenario modeling, and impact measurement.
• Collaborate with Editorial, Product, Finance, and Business teams to improve recommendations.
• Design and analyze experiments including A/B tests and quasi-experiments.
• Monitor health of the audiobooks business and translate findings into recommendations.
• Develop analytical datasets, tools, and reporting that are repeatable and scalable.
• Work with analytics engineering and data partners to improve data quality.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leaders.
