Job summary

ElevenLabs is seeking a Data Scientist in London to own safety datasets and evaluation workflows that underpin AI safety work. You will turn real-world product data into reliable datasets for training and evaluating models, and build scalable data processes used across safety, policy, and engineering teams.

The role blends data science, ML, AI safety, and policy, starting with collection and labeling, then building scalable methodologies and contributor networks to meet high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with real-world datasets and ML models.
• Ability to turn complex safety guidelines into concrete data requirements.
• Strong data wrangling, cleaning, and quality control skills.
• Ability to operate autonomously across policy, engineering and research teams.

Responsibilities

• Own safety datasets end-to-end: collection, cleaning, labeling, QC, versioning.
• Translate safety policy into consistent labeling and evaluation criteria.
• Design and manage labeling processes with external contributors.
• Build evaluation workflows for models in production using real-world data.
• Develop Python/SQL pipelines to speed up data work and ensure reproducibility.
