Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a Data Scientist to join the AI Growth team in London or Amsterdam. This hybrid, full-time role focuses on building end-to-end ML solutions that power personalised experiences and drive engagement across a global marketplace.

You will work on embedding models, recommender systems, and advanced analytics, collaborating with ML engineers, product teams, and commercial stakeholders to ship production-quality ML systems that measurably impact customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering end-to-end ML solutions from problem framing through data exploration to production deployment and experiment measurement.
• Hands-on expertise in search, retrieval and recommendation techniques including embedding-based approaches and learning-to-rank.
• Experience applying LLMs in production environments, including prompt engineering and model fine-tuning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and deployment of ML/AI solutions including embedding models, fine-tuned LLMs, and ranking systems.
• Apply generative AI and LLM techniques to personalisation challenges and improve search relevance.
• Own results by designing, running and interpreting AB tests with statistical rigour.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to productionise models and maintain monitored pipelines.
