Job summary

Harnham is seeking a Data Scientist to join an expanding insurance pricing team in Manchester. You will build production-grade ML models, validate pricing strategies and translate business problems into data solutions.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, mentor junior data scientists and work with Python, SQL, Databricks and PySpark on large datasets to drive commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Data Science experience.
• Advanced Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with Databricks and/or PySpark.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques such as XGBoost and LightGBM.
• Strong statistical modelling capability.
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or another regulated environment is advantageous
