Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks an Associate Director of Data Science to join the DSAA team, guiding data-driven decisions across drug development. You will shape analytical strategies and lead cross-functional collaborations to advance evidence generation and trial design.

You will drive advanced analytics, apply AI/ML to multimodal data, mentor scientists, and communicate complex results to senior leadership with scientific rigor.

Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field with 6+ years of experience or a Master’s with 8+ years in industry.
• Proven data science and statistical analysis using clinical trial or EHR data.
• Experience leading models on high-dimensional data for time-to-event, longitudinal, and multivariate outcomes.
• Expertise in AI/ML and proficiency with Python, R, SQL and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and methodological guidance across multiple drug development programs.
• Lead exploratory and confirmatory analyses across diverse data types from discovery to late-phase trials.
• Shape analytical strategy for trial design, endpoints, biomarkers, and evidence generation.
• Lead development of novel computational methods for patient segmentation, biomarkers, and precision medicine.
