Job summary

LASER Energy, part of Commercial Services Group, is seeking a Data Quality Analyst to safeguard the accuracy and integrity of energy data used for public sector customers. Hybrid Kings Hill location with full-time hours, focusing on data issue resolution and improving reporting accuracy.

You will validate data, manage queries, and drive data quality improvements across systems, ensuring timely, reliable insights for customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • A-Levels or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience delivering customer reporting outputs to tight schedules.
  • Understanding of the energy industry is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Some experience managing large datasets accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly across Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively.
  • Resilient, adaptable and self-motivated.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Importing and maintaining customer data within the Bureau database.
  • Validating invoices, site changes, meter changes and associated records.
  • Reviewing large datasets to identify missing, duplicate or inaccurate information.
  • Investigating data gaps, anomalies and discrepancies through to resolution.
  • Managing data queries with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Tracking corrective actions and maintaining clear records of resolved issues.
  • Completing quality checks to ensure data is accurate and fit for purpose.
  • Communicating data quality concerns that could affect customer reporting or service delivery.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve data controls, processes and ways of working.
  • Supporting the testing and adoption of systems and tools that improve data quality and efficiency.

Data Quality Analyst

Location: Kings Hill/Hybrid

Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week

We are looking for a Data Quality Analyst to join our team at LASER Energy, playing a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the energy data used to support public sector customers. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, with responsibility for identifying data issues, resolving discrepancies and helping customers better understand their consumption, costs and carbon emissions.

This role would suit someone who is passionate about data with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills who is interested in developing their knowledge of energy data, utility billing and carbon reporting.
