Job summary

4Square Recruitment Ltd in London is seeking an experienced Data Protection & Privacy Consultant to join a growing team. The role blends hands-on privacy operations with client-facing consultancy across diverse sectors.

You will act as a trusted adviser for clients, deliver privacy programmes (DPIAs, LIAs, RoPAs, data mapping), manage data protection risks, advise on UK GDPR and international rules, support breach response and ICO engagement, and work with privacy platforms like OneTrust.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in data protection/privacy roles.
• Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR and EU/international frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with DPIAs, LIAs, RoPAs, data mapping & DSARs.
• Experience with privacy management tools (OneTrust preferred).

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor for clients on data protection matters.

• Identify and manage data protection and cyber risks.

We’re looking for an experienced Data Protection & Privacy Consultant to join a growing team and support a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands-on privacy operations with client-facing consultancy, helping organisations navigate complex data protection challenges in a practical and commercially focused way.

What you’ll be doing

• Acting as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for clients on all data protection matters
• Supporting and delivering privacy programmes, including DPIAs, LIAs, RoPAs, and data mapping
• Identifying and managing data protection and cyber risks
• Providing pragmatic advice on UK GDPR and international privacy regulations
• Supporting data breach response and regulatory compliance (including ICO engagement)
• Developing and implementing policies, governance frameworks, and privacy controls
• Delivering training and awareness sessions to stakeholders
• Supporting or acting as an outsourced DPO for clients
• Working with and configuring OneTrust (or similar privacy platforms)
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior leadership

What we’re looking for

• Incident/breach management & DSARs

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
• A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
