Job summary

PIB Group is hiring a Data Protection Business Partner to work with multiple departments to ensure data protection policies and procedures are current and effective. The role requires attending PIB Group offices across the UK, with some overnight travel and a flexible approach to travel.

You will support group-wide compliance with Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR, provide ongoing advice on data protection, records management and information security, and help maintain regulatory alignment

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with a can-do attitude and ability to build relationships across the Group.
• Experience in data protection, compliance or audit roles is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support integration and oversight of compliance with data protection legislation and PIB Group policies.
• Conduct compliance reviews, document findings, map processes and sub-processors, and report risks to senior management.
• Provide advice on data protection, records management and information security, including handling breaches and subject access requests.

**The Role – Data Protection Business Partner** We are a dynamic forward thinking, innovative and growing group. PIB Group is looking for a Data Protection Business Partner to join the team and work closely with departments across the business to ensure that our data protection and compliance polices, and procedures, are up to date and effective. **This is a office-based role but does require attending business units and officers across the UK. Some visiting will require overnight stays therefore flexibility and a willingness to travel is essential.****What You’ll Do:*** Support Group-wide integration, management and oversight of compliance with data protection legislation (Data Protection Act 2018, UK/EU GDPR) and PIB Group policies, including projects, policies, procedures and training.* Conduct in-depth compliance reviews across all PIB businesses, documenting findings, mapping processes and systems/sub-processors, maintaining key registers, and reporting risks and non-compliance to business leaders and senior management.* Provide ongoing advice, guidance and support on data protection, records management and information security (including breaches, incidents and subject access requests), ensuring all activities meet legal and regulatory requirements.* Promote a strong culture of data protection compliance, maintain effective relationships across the Group, stay up to date with regulatory changes, and assist the Group Data Protection Manager and Data Protection Officer as required. **What We’re Looking For:*** Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with a positive, confident, can‐do attitude and eagerness to learn; able to build and maintain positive working relationships across the wider Group.* Highly organised and analytical, with strong planning skills, attention to detail and proven experience of managing own workload, handling multiple workstreams, and producing clear reports from data gathered across multiple sources.* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Teams, Excel, Outlook and Word, and able to work both independently and effectively as part of a team.* Previous experience of working in a data protection, compliance or audit role is desirable but not essential. **What You Will Get:*** A salary package of up to £30,000 depending on experience* An attractive benefits package, including 26 days’ holiday, pension, access to healthcare support, and a range of other flexible benefits.* A collaborative and supportive working environment, where you can refine your industry knowledge and skills, or even progress into other areas of the business.* Once fully trained into your role, you will have the option to work from home every Friday if you wish. **Why PIB Group?**PIB Group is one of the UK’s fastest-growing insurance businesses, offering real career progression, professional development, and a collaborative culture where your work truly matters.We encourage our people to be collaborative, with entrepreneurship at our core.
