Data Products - Project Manager

Our CMI and E&T groups help clients shape vision, define strategy, and deliver a truly integrated customer experience. Our services are based on an in-depth understanding of individual consumer behavior and marketing technology, influencing how consumers buy products and services through data, technology, and consultancy.
Key responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery
- Develop comprehensive project plans for data product builds and updates, establishing clear timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams through the complete product development lifecycle, from initial scoping to final delivery.
- Manage project resources, ensuring optimal allocation and cost-effective delivery.
- Implement appropriate project management methodologies, adapting approaches to the specific needs of data product development.
Technical Oversight
- Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure data quality, reliability, and governance standards are maintained throughout the product development cycle.
- Understand the technical architectures, data pipelines, and integration points involved in CACI's data products.
- Collaborate with technical teams to solve complex problems during the development lifecycle.
- Stay current with data technologies and methodologies relevant to CACI's product suite.
Stakeholder Management
- Manage a range of stakeholders across the business, as well as third-party supplier/partner stakeholders.
- Act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring goal alignment and effective communication of progress.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, developing contingency plans to mitigate potential impacts.
- Lead regular project updates with stakeholders, managing expectations and securing decisions.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal teams across PS&I and CMI.
Process Improvement
- Develop a sufficient understanding of CACI's diverse data products portfolio to effectively lead project teams.
- Coordinate projects involving data integration processes.
- Contribute insights to process improvement discussions based on project learnings.
- Identify opportunities to make build processes more efficient and less time-consuming.

Skills, knowledge, and experience required
- Proven experience managing complex technical and development projects dealing with data.
- Strong understanding of data technologies, architectures, and methodologies.
- Familiarity with data management platforms and technologies (e.g., data integration ETL, SQL, data lake/warehouse).
- Previous experience handling transformation projects and delivering through Agile & Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience with project management tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
