Job summary

VIQU IT partnered with a global organisation to hire a Data Product Manager to lead the Data & Insight function through a major shift toward AI-ready data products.

You will own the data product roadmap, guide a team of analysts and BI developers, and bridge technical delivery with business stakeholders while enforcing a federated, data-mesh operating model.

Qualifications

• Experience leading data analytics tool adoption enterprise-wide.
• Hands-on with Fabric, Databricks, Power BI and Tableau.
• Experience with AI tools in analytics.
• Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
• Strong stakeholder partnering and data-literacy driving track record.

Responsibilities

• Own the data product roadmap and lifecycle for datasets, dashboards, semantic models and AI features.
• Leverage data for insight generation and decision-making.
• Ensure AI-ready data access and disclosed quality tiers.
• Line manage Data Analysts and BI Developers.
• Translate business needs into specifications and embed data products in decision-making.

Data Product Manager

VIQU has partnered with a global organisation to hire a Data Product Manager to lead their Data and Insight function through a major shift; from reporting and dashboards to governed, AI-ready data products.

The organisation is preparing to launch its AI Strategy, and so require an individual to own their data product roadmap. You'll lead a team of analysts and BI developers, act as the bridge between technical delivery and business stakeholders whilst enforcing a federated, data-mesh style operating model.

Duties of the Data Product Manager

• Own the roadmap and lifecycle for certified data products eg: datasets, dashboards, semantic models and AI-enabled features.
• Leverage data for insight generation and decision-making.
• Ensure the organisation is "AI ready", by ensuring AI tools only access trusted data, and that quality tier is disclosed in AI outputs.
• Line manage a team of Data Analysts and BI Developers.
• Translating business needs into clear specifications, and embedding data products into decision-making.
• Driving data literacy and adoption across the organisation.
• Occasionally act as a business analyst, helping to bridge the gap between non technical and technical stakeholders.

What they're looking for

• Previous experience leading adoption and deployment of data analytics tools enterprise wide.
• Hands-on experience with data technologies like Fabric, Databricks, Power BI, Tableau ect.
• Hands on experience using AI tools in an analytical context.
• Familiarity with data governance, quality and security best practices.
• Strong stakeholder and business partnering skills.
• A track record of driving data adoption and data literacy.
