Job summary

SSE plc is hiring a Technical Business Analyst to shape data products and digital solutions within the Data & Analytics function. The role partners with Data Product Manager and cross-functional squads to translate business needs into clear requirements and deliver value through data products.

You will support discovery, design, build, testing and sign-off, while leveraging platforms like Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, and using Power BI to validate solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering digital or data initiatives in a complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of data concepts, including data models and data flows.
• Experience with modern data platforms (Fabric, Databricks) in an enterprise setting.
• Practical exposure to Power BI or Power Platform for engagement and validation.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to elicit, analyse and document requirements for data and digital initiatives.
• Act as the interface between business users and delivery teams to translate requirements into outcomes.
• Support full delivery lifecycle of data products from discovery to sign-off.
• Investigate data sources and attributes to inform solution design.
• Collaborate with Data Product Manager to manage demand and planning.
